I'm just going to get to the point. This was a cute book. That is the reason I say my heart is broken. The dialogue was funny at times and this angel is cute, but not what I pictured a strong angel to be. This story spands seven days, and I understand the pull of love, but the interaction between the two characters was not as hot or as sizzling as the other books Sparks writes. The love scene is disappointing, the Vamp/Malcontents fight is anti-climatic, and the demon/angel struggle was a dud. Don't get me wrong I liked the book, but that's what is such a disappointment I LIKED it and didn't go wild crazy in love with it. It also bothered me that the entire time Connor is mentally chastizing himself saying he is a cold hearted SOB, which felt more like self pity to me, only to turn around and go after the angel with little, if any resistance. Sparks has a hard time delivering on this book, but that won't stop me from reading anything else she writes. She is my favorite author still, thats why I decided to give the book four stars.
